Building Skills : Multi-Pitch Climbing Efficiency Monday 9/21/26

September 21, 2026

Coordinator: Noel Tavan

Excursion Time: 2 hours (car-to-car)

Introduction to Multi-Pitch Climbing Skill Builder

This is more of a hands-on class where participants will practice multipitch transitioning. This includes belay from above, building anchor, block lead transition, swing lead transition, and rappel transitions. Optional also to have teams of 3 and practice bringing 2 followers at a time.

Participants should be comfortable building anchors, converting to rappel and rappelling. Participants should also be familiar and show proficiency with single pitch climbing.

Participants should have some familiarity with multipitch. Either from previous experience or previous attendance of the clinic touching on the topic (AA: Intro to Multipitch)

Whether you're curious about getting started or looking to better understand how multi-pitch systems work, this skill builder session will provide a solid foundation and help you identify areas for further practice and training.
