SACsters,
A small but enthusiastic group of climbers spent the first weekend of autumn on Mount Hood's Eliot Glacier working on ice climbing techniques. SAC members Kipp Bajaj, Kari Friedwald, Jeff Herd, Shawn Donley, and Doug Adair, were joined by Kari's Seattle friend Emiko Takahashi. We worked on footwork and crampon techniques, anchors, rope management, climbing, and even unlocked the mystery of the Abolokov pro-free ice anchor (you have to see it to believe it!). The weather was simply spectacular and the Saturday night potluck around a roaring fire was sumptuous! Thanks to all for a fabulous weekend!
