Rock Climbing - Single Pitch - Smith Rock

*Objective*

Spend a weekend rock climbing at the world-famous Smith Rock!

*Audience*

This is open to climbers of all skill levels. Preference will be given to recent climb school graduates, Alpine Academy class attendees, SAC members aspiring to become Organizers, and Organizers looking to sharpen their rock climbing skills.

*Location and Special Notes*

We will camp at a group site in the area. Skull Hollow and Haystack Rock are both options within 30 minutes of Smith. If someone can head down on Thursday or Friday, we'll have a better chance of snagging a site. I'm open to camping and climbing on those days as well. The weather can get hot during the day and cold at night, so pack your camping gear appropriately!

For climbing at Smith, we will find an area that fits the needs of the group size and skill level. Options may include Northern Point, The Dihedrals, and Rope de Dope Block.

The climbing style will be primarily top-rope, with options for sport lead/follow and trad lead/follow based on individual skill level, group dynamics, and route availability.
