Mt. Adams Climb - South Route

July 19 to July 20, 2025

Coordinator: Nicole Becker

Summit Altitude: 12276 feet
Elevation Gain: 6700 feet
Round-trip Distance: 12 miles

This is a 2-day South Side climb of the second highest mountain in WA. At 12,276ft, it is a great non-technical, highly strenuous climb. While this is a great “beginner climb”, the physical demands should not be underestimated. You should be able to hike comfortably with a 40+ lb backpack, familiar with fueling/nutrition for a 12hr+ activity, and be familiar with your gear.

Climb school graduates and first timers are welcome. Priority will go to SAC climb school graduates. If I don’t know you, please email me your climbing experience and who your instructors were at climb school (if applicable) at nicolejbecker1@gmail.com. Assistant and Organizers welcome if they would like to help me lead this event.

We will begin Saturday from the Cold Springs Trailhead, camp at 9,500ft Lunch Counter, and then alpine start Sunday for the summit and then hike out after packing up camp.

We will meet at the trailhead at 10am.
