Beth says:
Hey there! Eric and I won’t be able to attend. Eric has a broken foot from a boulder on mount Washington. He won’t be climbing anything anytime soon, sadly. And I can’t get the time off from work. Hope to climb with you sometime soon!

Kyle (leader) says:
There are a few of you listed as Tentative - please try to find out this week if you are good to go or not - I have a few folks on the waiting list. Thanks!

Elliott says:
Realized I'll have to come in Friday night, are we planning on Thielsen Friday or Saturday?

Kyle (leader) answers:
Theilsen is Saturday

Gillian says:
Kyle-do you want us to try and reserve spots near one another at Diamond lake or should we just snag anything available?

Kyle (leader) answers:
It's entirely up to you. We can use our site to cook or hang or whatever.

Andre answers:
Hi all, I injured my foot this past weekend in central Oregon and won't be able to join this climb.

Kyle (leader) says:
For those of you without emergency contacts or personal information - please fill that out

Sam says:
Are we looking to do Thielsen Saturday and Diamond Sunday? If anyone wants to carpool, I am coming from Corvallis and would gladly kick in gas if someone wants to scoop me up just off I-5. Shoot me an email if so. I’ve got a campsite reserved.

Kyle (leader) answers:
Theislen Saturday - Diamond is honestly a bonus and a game-time decision (it's a bushwack and a hike, not really a climb). It's a long trip, and most people have a long drive back. I would be happy and open to another option (Mount Bailey, paddleboarding, etc)

Gillian says:
I have a site reserved - M006 - that can be used by up to 8 folks. I will have 2 max so happy to share if anyone wants. Also have a 2 person inflatable kayak that I’m testing out the week prior to this so will bring it in case kayaking on the lake sounds more appealing than bushwhacking come Sunday. I’ve never been to Diamond lake so I’m also open for anything. Anyone know what the smoke situation is looking like ?

Kyle (leader) answers:
Smoke is horrible down here in Bend - moderate currently at Diamond. It is changing every day https://www.breezometer.com/air-quality-map/air-quality/united-states/chemult

Kyle (leader) says:
Hey all - I will be monitoring the smoke and weather down here. Diamond Lake is in a bit of a sweet spot right now. I will not be camping or climbing if the air is unhealthy, but we will play it by ear and make a decision Friday morning.

Kyle (leader) says:
I am in site K005

Luke says:
hello Kyle, a couple of us are still sitting tentative (just noticed the increased counter). I'm new with this club so please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions.

Kyle (leader) answers:
Hey Luke - sorry, I am not approving anyone who has not done climb school with us. We have not done this climb before, and I am keeping it small.

Kyle (leader) says:
Skies are looking better today, and we are optimistic. Things can change quickly, and if smoke rolls in when we wake up on Saturday, we could and will bail. Keep that in mind for those of you traveling a long distance. If we decide to camp, that doesn't guarantee we climb the next day. I will still send a green light message tomorrow. Hoping for the best!

Gillian says:
I’m in sun river right now and it’s the first super clear morning there’s been all week! I am going to head to the campground since it’s low stakes drive wise for me at this point and I want to get the kayak in. I’m happy to report back about conditions once I arrive if I have service. I’m crossing my fingers though- looks beautiful today.

Kyle (leader) says:
Air quality is moderate right now - so we are going to give it a go! We will be at Site K5 - lets's plan on meeting up tonight at my site talk strategy. I will also start a group text
