Ben says:
What time will this start?

Nathan (leader) answers:
We will depart between midnight & 1 am

Michael says:
Let me come play :)

Nathan (leader) says:
All, please look at the updates to the event data. I have moved the 2nd ice tool to mandatory. We will not be roping up and will need a 2nd tool for the steep sections. Any tool will work and they can be borrowed or rented from just about anywhere. Also, no stoves. We will not be stopping long enough to cook anywhere. Keep an eye on the weather. If you have to rent any equipment, I recommend waiting til the climb is confirmed. Weather is poor right now, but expected to improve by this weekend. http://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Mount-Hood/forecasts/2500

Jim says:
Carpool anyone? I am happy to drive. I am in South Salem. Leave 8:30pm for 11pm arrival?

Nathan (leader) says:
Everyone please verify that you will be on the climb and check to make sure your emergency contact information is up to date. The weather forecast for the weekend looks pretty good right now, so I definitely plan on making the attempt. If you need to pick up a 2nd tool or rent equipment, now is the time to start beg/borrow/renting. Remember, the idea of a Sunday climb is that you can rest Saturday & get some sleep before the climb. I recommend being packed by Friday evening so you are not packing at the last minute. Also work on carpooling. I'll know more about my driving situation by tomorrow.

Nathan (leader) says:
Hope everyone is resting up today! Remember, meet in the Timberline overnight lot geared up and ready to go by 11 pm. We'll start climbing no later than 11:30 pm. That should put us summitting around sunrise and ahead of most of the traffic. We're shooting for the Pearly Gates, which based on a report from Friday is in prime condition. Take a look at the "Team Only" section above and write down my updated phone number. Call or text me if you have any problems or questions. If you have any medical conditions that may become important in case of an emergency, please email me privately at the email address above. These would include any allergies, medications, current ailments, etc. I will also be carrying a Spot Messenger, should there be an emergency. I think most people have found carpools, except maybe Jim and Andy? I think Jim is the only one coming from Salem, but he could meet somewhere in Portland so he doesn't have quite the drive. For splitting gas and making the drive more enjoyable, if anyone has extra space, let Jim know. See you guys tonight!
