Assistant's Clinic

April 5, 2020

Coordinator: Andy DeGregorio

Excursion Time: 8 hours (car-to-car)

Join our annual Climb School Assistant Instructor's Clinic. If you'd like to help be an assistant at Climb School but haven't been climbing much recently, or would like to brush up on your skills before helping instruct, this is the clinic for you. We'll spend a day learning and practicing skills, including coiling ropes, giving a fireman's belay, checking anchors, and tying in to a rope team. We will go over climb school emergency plans and also use climbing Mt Hood as an example of how to evaluate a climb for safety. If you'd like to help teach skills, contact Andy directly by email
