Field session to practice glacier travel and crevasse rescue
Saturday, July 28, 8am-5pm
Location TBD, likely White River or Eliot Glacier
Plan to camp Saturday evening and/or meet at 730am at the parking area Sunday morning. On the move at 8am.
Plan for a long day out, some hiking, some practice on snow/ice.
Bring layers, food, water and a can-do attitude.Signed Up: 10

|Required Equipment (each participant): Helmet, Harness, Prusiks, 1 foot 1 waist, 2 non-lockers, 1 locker, Ice axe (standard mountaineering, straight shaft), Glacier glasses or dark, full-coverage sunglasses, Layers, Food and water, Sunscreen, Lip balm with SPF, Crampons (check boot compatibility before the morning of)|
Optional Equipment (each participant): Belay device, Snow and ice protection, Additional prusik, "hero loop" (~12" looop), Additional carabiners, Slings/sewn runners, Ice axe leash
