Hood Climb - South Route
May 11, 2019
Coordinator: Noel Tavan
Summit Altitude: 11250 feet
Elevation Gain: 5 feet
Round-trip Distance: 10 miles
Climb is full.
Climb school students are welcome and encouraged to join. Please let me know when you have graduated from climb school and who your instructors were. We would meet at the Climber's cave Friday night at 11:30PM (located at the entrance of the day use lodge). Assistant and Experienced climbers are welcome if they would like to help me lead this event. We are usually back at the car between noon and 3pm.
Please consider a Hood half climb before attempting this climb. This is a great conditioning hike to test out your gears (mountaineering boots, crampons, ice axe, backpack, layers etc...) as well as food intake and sleep deprivation.
If I have never met you. Please email me your details on previous climbing experience. Send details and questions at email@example.com or you are welcome to add it as a comment on this page.
I will start approving participants after climb school (May 6th) to give this year's students a priority and the chance to sign up.
We will use this to find carpool option closer to the event.
