April 20 (afternoon)-21 Mt Illumination Saddle Snow Camp and AT Ski trip

April 20 to April 21, 2019

Coordinator: Noel Tavan

Summit Altitude: 5000 feet
Round-trip Distance: 6 miles

The plan is to meet after Mika's trail work party at Timberline lodge. Skin up with your split board, AT skis or hike/snowshoe to Illumination saddle. Set up camp. Have dinner and sleep under the stars. Next morning we wake up at sunrise, have breakfast, coffee, and do some repeats on the slopes with your AT skis or split board. You are welcome to hike and up and down with snowshoes but it won't be as much fun. On the last climb or decent, we will break down our tent and head down to the Timberline Lodge. Plan to be back in the parking lot around mid afternoon. Beginner skiers/snowboarders are welcome to join us. Perfect weekend to test your 4 season tent and sleeping kit.
