Summit Altitude: 7794 feet
Elevation Gain: 3000 feet
Round-trip Distance: 10 miles
Excursion Time: 11 hours (car-to-car)

We will attempt the standard North Route. I have not climbed Mt Washington before so this will be a team approach as far as our technical rock climbing route goes. Please familiarize yourselves with the route by whatever means available. The technical portion of the summit block is 3 technical rock climbing pitches on rotten rock to 5.3 rating. The rest is hiking and scrambling up the North Ridge.

Tuesday August 7th meet at the Big Lake PCT trailhead at 8 am. Big Lake is at Santiam Pass. The trailhead is on the South Side of the Lake near a big lake youth camp. To sign up for this climb please have completed a climb school, be not afraid of heights, and know how to rappel and belay.

Team Equipment: ropes, slings, rappel rings, rescue beacon, first aid kit
Required Equipment (each participant): helmet, personal safety , harness, 3 locking carabiners, 3 non locking carabiners, belay/rappel device, 4 liters water, lunch, sunscreen , camera
Optional Equipment (each participant): extra slings, rock anchors, gps
Not Required: mountaineering boots, ice axe, crampons
